Private Treatment for Professionals and Families

Discretion is the reason many people from Agoura Hills choose an outpatient program a few exits away rather than one on their own street. You keep your routine, sleep in your own bed, and attend treatment on a schedule built around work and family, without checking into a residential facility where a month-long absence invites questions. For executives, business owners, and parents, that privacy is not a perk; it is what makes getting help realistic.

Our program treats adults 18 and older who have a stable home and do not need 24-hour supervision. If a clinical assessment shows you need medically supervised detox or round-the-clock care first, we coordinate it and then step you into outpatient treatment once you are stable; we do not run detox on site. Family members often call before the person is ready, and those conversations are welcome and confidential. Veterans and active-duty service members can also join our dedicated veterans and active-duty program.

How We Keep Treatment Discreet

Privacy is built into how the program runs, not promised and then forgotten. Your records are protected by federal law, and nothing reaches an employer, a school, or a family member without your written consent. Sessions are scheduled so you can treat recovery like any other standing appointment, and the telehealth option lets you join from a closed office or from home on the days a drive would raise questions. Because the center is in Thousand Oaks rather than on your own block in Agoura Hills, you are not passing neighbors or coworkers on the way in, and for people whose work depends on their reputation that distance does real work. If you need documentation for medical leave or a professional licensing board, we provide only what you authorize, in the form you need, and nothing more.

How the Three Outpatient Levels Work

For Agoura Hills adults, care comes in three outpatient tiers, and you move between them as you stabilize, so the intensity changes while your provider stays the same. A partial hospitalization program is the most structured, filling most of the weekday for people early in recovery or stepping down from detox or a residential stay. An intensive outpatient program is lighter, about three hours a day across five days, which gives you real structure while you hold a job or care for a family. Standard outpatient care is lighter still, centered on continuing therapy and relapse prevention.

Most people step down this ladder over time, trading hours of structure for more time back in daily life. Your clinical team sets the pace by your progress, not a fixed calendar, and nothing locks you into a single track.

Every path begins with a clinical assessment, often the same day you call, which sets your starting level and builds a weekly schedule around work, school, or family. Each level uses the same clinical team and the same evidence-based methods, so stepping down is a change in hours, not a change in who treats you. Sessions run in person at the Thousand Oaks center or by secure telehealth, and many people from Agoura Hills mix the two across a week to protect both their treatment and their schedule. An evening program is available for those whose workday makes daytime sessions hard.

On-Site Amenities and Evidence-Based Care

Every plan is built from evidence-based therapy, with medication where it helps and amenities that support the work rather than replace it. Cognitive behavioral therapy does the core work of changing the patterns that keep a substance or a mood problem in place, practiced between sessions. Dialectical behavior therapy is added when strong emotions or impulsivity are part of the picture, and EMDR is used in individual sessions when past trauma is driving the use. Our medical team manages medication-assisted treatment with Suboxone or Vivitrol for opioid use disorder, and offers TMS for depression that medication has not resolved.

The center also offers an in-house gym, an infrared sauna, and sound baths, along with breathwork, meditation, and art therapy. These support the nervous system through early recovery and give you ways to manage stress and cravings that do not involve a substance. Psychiatry, medication management, and family sessions round out the week.

What Our Outpatient Rehab Treats

Our outpatient program covers both substance use and mental health for adults across Agoura Hills and the surrounding Conejo Valley, treated together when they overlap. The addiction track handles alcohol, cocaine and other stimulants including methamphetamine and Adderall, cannabis, nicotine, and opioid use disorder with medication support. The mental health track handles depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. When a substance problem and a mental health condition appear together, we treat them side by side as dual diagnosis rather than sending you between providers. For people who need a stable place to live during treatment, we coordinate sober and supportive housing. If you are not sure which track fits, or whether outpatient is the right level at all, the first assessment is built to answer exactly that, with a referral out when a higher level of care is the safer start.

Choosing Outpatient Rehab Near Agoura Hills

Outpatient rehab near Agoura Hills fits adults who have a stable home and do not need around-the-clock supervision. We run a full continuum of outpatient care, so the intensity can rise or ease as you stabilize while the same clinical team stays with you. We publish our hours, name our Medical Director, and work with most major insurance on an in-network and out-of-network basis. Because sessions run in person or by telehealth, you can keep treatment private and close to home instead of checking into a facility across the county.

Insurance and Confidential Admissions

Lotus Recovery is in-network and out-of-network with most major carriers, among them Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Blue Shield of California, Kaiser Permanente, GEHA, UMR, and Anthem. Because every plan reads differently, we check your coverage up front and tell you in plain terms what it includes before you commit.

Admissions are handled discreetly from your first call. You can reach a person any time of day, confirm your coverage, and set a schedule. Same-day and walk-in assessments are available.

Serving Agoura Hills and How to Reach Us

Our center sits at 290 Conejo Ridge Avenue, Thousand Oaks, CA 91361, a short drive from Agoura Hills on the US-101. That short, predictable drive matters for outpatient care, because you make it several times a week, and keeping treatment close to home is part of what keeps people in it. We serve Agoura Hills and the nearby communities of Oak Park, Westlake Village, and Calabasas, and our telehealth option reaches people farther out across Los Angeles County when a drive is not practical.

Getting here is straightforward. From Agoura Hills you take the US-101 toward Thousand Oaks and exit in the central Conejo Valley, a short run that stays manageable even several days a week. The need across the region is real even as it improves: Los Angeles County recorded 2,438 drug-related overdose deaths in 2024, down 22 percent from 3,137 the year before, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Public health officials credited wider access to treatment and naloxone for the decline, and reaching care close to home is part of how that progress holds. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 9am to 9pm, and the admissions line is answered 24 hours a day.

Questions We Hear From Agoura Hills

Can I Do Outpatient Rehab While Working in Agoura Hills?

Yes. That is who outpatient rehab is built for. You attend partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, or standard outpatient sessions on a daytime or evening schedule and keep working in Agoura Hills, with a telehealth option for the days a commute is hard. Many professionals treat their sessions like any other standing appointment and never step away from the job.

Is Outpatient Rehab Confidential?

Yes. Your treatment is protected by federal privacy law, and nothing about your care is shared without your written consent. Because the program is outpatient and located in Thousand Oaks rather than your own neighborhood, you can attend sessions and return home the same day without a public check-in or a long unexplained absence.

Do You Have a Rehab in Agoura Hills?

Our center is in neighboring Thousand Oaks, a short drive from Agoura Hills on the US-101, and we serve Agoura Hills residents from there. For many people the short drive to another city is a feature, since it keeps treatment away from the streets and circles where they live and work.

How Is Outpatient Rehab Different From a Residential or Malibu Program?

A residential or Malibu program has you move in full time, often for a month and often far from home. Outpatient rehab lets you sleep in your own bed and attend treatment during the day, which fits people with a stable home who do not need around-the-clock care. We help you decide at your assessment and refer out when residential is the safer start.

Do You Take Insurance, or Is This Private-Pay Like the Residential Centers?

We take insurance. Our outpatient care is covered by most commercial plans, often with prior authorization, and we work in-network and out-of-network. We verify your benefits before you begin so you know what your plan covers.

Is Outpatient Rehab a Good Option for Working Professionals?

For many professionals it is the better fit. You attend structured treatment on a daytime or telehealth schedule and keep your job, your home, and your privacy, rather than stepping away for a month. The intensive outpatient and standard outpatient levels are built specifically around people who cannot disappear from work.

Do You Offer Amenities Like a Gym, Sauna, and Sound Baths?

Yes. The center has an in-house gym, an infrared sauna, and sound baths, along with breathwork, meditation, and art therapy. These are offered alongside evidence-based treatment, not in place of it, to help you manage stress and cravings during recovery.
